The PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency at University Hospitals is an innovative and comprehensive training program. Progressive pharmacy law in Ohio and UH system support allows residents in the program to participate in collaborative practice agreements to utilize prescriptive authority in the primary care setting. An extensive reach across our system also gives residents exposure with unique retail experience, transitional care management, longitudinal ambulatory experiences and implementation of various new projects. The program is well position for significant growth and opportunity for pharmacists.
The Residency Program Director (RPD) for the Community-Based Residency Program is a management level position to further develop, oversee, and maintain the community pharmacy residency program. The RPD with have comprehensive oversight of the program including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of potential candidates and existing residents.
Registered Pharmacist and eligible for license in the state of Ohio required.
Must meet eligibility of RPD per ASHP accreditation guidance (e.g., completion of residency and three years of experience).
Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills; leadership skills; self-initiative, innovative, and collaborative skills; analytical and organizational skills.
