As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for answering incoming calls and completing outbound calls to/from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity. This is an on-site position located at our Birmingham facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Use multiple computer systems to obtain pharmacy orders, compare to order received and produce mailing labels
• Utilize the best method for product packing and shipping based on standard procedures to include type of packaging, unique conditions (i.e. refrigeration), etc. to ensure safe and secure delivery
• Prepare manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling appropriate prescription drugs from inventory and complete necessary scanning and packaging as necessary
• Maintain various machines and equipment (e.g. IPD machines, auto packing machines)
• This is an on-site position located at our Birmingham facility

You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information. Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher) 
• Pharmacy Technician licensing for the state of Alabama
• Intermediate proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

• PTCB National Pharmacy Technician Certification 
• 1+ years of prior experience in shipping / receiving
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
