Lead Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist
The Lead Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist is responsible for oversight and overall effectiveness of the antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) at NAH facilities and entities. The purpose of the ASP is to provide a collaborative, interdisciplinary system for optimization of antibiotic use at NAH, improve drug selection, slow the emergence of antimicrobial resistance, reduce antimicrobial expenditures, and improve patient outcomes. The ASP Lead Pharmacist will work collaboratively to improve patient outcomes and safety by means of review of anti-infective use at NAH through clinical interventions, guideline and protocol development, reporting systems, education, and the improvement of antimicrobial drug utilization.
