Reporting to the VP, Ambulatory & Post-Acute Services, the AVP, Ambulatory and Retail Pharmacy is responsible to develop with corporate leadership, joint venture partners and other stakeholders the business model, delivery systems, and reimbursement provisions of the retail pharmacy strategy inclusive of their specialty pharmacy program across Florida and southeast U.S. The AVP is responsible to the vice president of OH Ambulatory Services and Post-Acute Services and works with corporate OH leaders, business partners, hospital leaders and physicians/ stakeholders to ensure timely provision of comprehensive pharmacy services in the ambulatory setting which meets or exceeds current community standards.
For consideration as a candidate for the AVP role, a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. Advanced study in pharmacy, health care, or comparable work experience is desired, with an MBA or MHA highly desirable. Pharmacy residency in pharmacy administration, ambulatory care, or a clinical specialty, including Board certification, is preferred. The successful candidate will maintain current licensure as a pharmacist in Florida and/or be eligible for licensure in Florida. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of supervisory/management positions of pharmacy services within a healthcare system or ambulatory setting/medical group practice or retail pharmacy operation. Experience in specialty pharmacy services is required.
