My client, a prestigious health system, is actively looking to hire a qualified Director of Specialty Pharmacy Operations to provide business development & leadership within their boutique Specialty Pharmacy Line out in the Washington, DC area. In this role, you will work on initiatives to drive specialty pharmacy business to the contracted health system both locally and may travel around the region some of the time as the business grows to other specialty pharmacy locations.
This opportunity offers a flexible daytime schedule with the possibility of some remote work as a part of a top-ranked, academic health system. Full benefits are offered along with very competitive compensation up to 200K depending on experience, not including an annual incentive bonus.
In order to apply, you must have, at minimum, a Bachelors in Pharmacy, and if no residency training, 7 years of relevant specialty, outpatient, or other related pharmacy leadership experience. Must also hold at least 3 years of experience in research pharmacy. If PGY1, 5 years, and if PGY2, then an additional 3 years (including research pharmacy). A specialty pharmacy certification (CSP) as well as proven experience building a pharmacy business line is preferred. Current DC license preferred but not required at time of application.
