Pharmacist: Interest in an Oncology Focus (Background in oncology preferred, but not required)
About the Job Responsible for the full scope of pharmacy services in practice area. As a professional pharmacist, takes personal responsibility for competency in all areas of care delivery related to pharmacy practice area.
Reviews medication orders and medication dosing
Consults with patients and members of the healthcare team
Oversees pharmacy interns and pharmacy technicians and their work products
Completes additional project and/or committee work related to practice area
Precepts pharmacy students and/or residents
Performs a variety of tasks
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Full Time – 80 Hours per Pay Period – Variable Shift – On Call Rotation
Team Highlights
Specialty pharmacy serves all specialty needs for all Kootenai Clinics. In addition, we have embedded pharmacy employees in the high-specialty volume clinics: oncology, Rheumatology, neurology, and gastroenterology.
The team consists of a large group of pharmacists and technicians, serving all the Kootenai clinics/specialties. We are divided into different sub-specialties.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy OR a Bachelor’s degree with hospital experience preferred
Must be licensed and/or License eligible in the state of Idaho. Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of date of hire.
Demonstrates proficiency with electronic health record and other technology as required by practice site
