The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing three pharmacy sites and two hospital locations which Include Ennis Regional and Parkview Regional Hospital including inpatient, psychiatric and retail. Responsible for planning, budgeting, directing and supervising all pharmacy activities and personnel. Maintains the pharmacy within federal laws.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Selects, trains/orients and assigns department staff. Develops standards of performance and monitors and supervises staff; evaluates performance and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. Develops policies and procedures relating to the pharmacy department. Ensures delivery of quality and safe pharmacy services to patients and employees. Responsible for fiscal management of department; ensures proper use of organization's financial resources.
Controls and monitors controlled substances to maintain compliance with all federal and state laws and rules

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Bachelors degree in Pharmacy
Required Doctorate degree is PharmacyÂ
Preferred Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses: Registration in Texas as a Pharmacist or eligible for state registration.
Minimum Work Experience: Three (3) years experience in a retail pharmacy or equivalent hospital experience, in addition to three (3) years of previous supervisory/administrative experience required
