The community you’ll be caring for:
•Established in 1997 and now a 203-bed hospital
•AdventHealth Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney’s planned community of Celebration, Florida
•The hospital consistently delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties, as well as to visitors from across the United States and the world. All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease
The role you’ll contribute:
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas.

• Ability to teach pharmacy technician students • Proficiency in hospital computer system technology and automation • Knowledge and competence in aseptic techniques, hazardous drug compounding and USP 795, 797 and 800 standards (if applicable) • Knowledge and competence in the medication reconciliation process (if applicable)
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • High School degree or equivalent • One year of hospital pharmacy experience (Retail or ambulatory experience acceptable for medication history function in lieu of hospital experience)
REQUIRED: • Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) • Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation • Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT), or from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
