Humana’s accredited postgraduate year one (PGY1) Managed Care Residency Program is a 52-week post-graduate training program consisting of core, longitudinal, and elective learning experiences that build upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education to develop clinical pharmacists responsible for the medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions. Through structured training, pharmacy residents will enhance their clinical and business acumen. Pharmacy residents will apply best clinical practices and managed care principles while working within multi-disciplinary teams in an integrated health plan and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) corporate setting in Louisville, Kentucky to support Humana members in achieving their best health.
