Clinical Specialist - AdventHealth - Maitland
Work Hours/Shift: Full Time
You Will Be Responsible For:

Provides leadership in evaluating and prioritizing the development of technology, recommending enhancements to present to I-extend, and designing and creating new functions to achieve pharmacy information, automation, and patient safety initiatives.
Provides and creates computer generated documents and reports; assists in developing and implementing clinical pathways; and identifies potential enhancements for clinical applications.
Helps to maintain and update price files/bar code information, including CDM and NDC information.
Develops short- and long-range priorities, acting as the liaison to I-extend system as appropriate for current and planned IT projects.
Evaluates programs and ensures legal standards are met.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
Required:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree, or equivalent experience
Four (4) years clinical operations experience in Pharmacy or completion of an ASHP residency program.
Current registration with Florida State Board of Pharmacy as a registered pharmacist
Ability to work well independently and set priorities
Ability to coordinate and lead groups of people in determining policy, implementing procedures and demonstrating progress
Initiative to keep abreast of new information, products, and/or developments in the field of pharmacy informatics

Job Summary:
Clinical Specialists are responsible for coordinating and providing clinical pharmacy services for patients receiving treatment within his/her assigned specialty area. Supports the creation and maintenance of medication use related policies and procedures. Serves as a member of administrative committees related to the care of patients within their assigned specialty area. Integrates clinical services and educational activities as required. Actively provides clinical preceptorship for pharmacy residents, students and staff members as required. Serves the needs of neonatal, adolescent and geriatric patients; specific age groups as identified in the position responsibilities. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
