DESCRIPTION Moffitt Cancer Center was established and licensed in 1986 as an independent non-profit hospital located in Tampa, FL. Moffitt’s mission is “To contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer” and its vision is “To transform cancer care through service, science and partnership.” With such a mission and vision, Moffitt quickly grew to becoming a nationally ranked cancer center. Currently, it is Florida’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and is at the very forefront of pioneering therapy in oncology.
