POST-DOCTORAL PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY FELLOWSHIP – Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, offers innovative Post-Doctoral PharmD Fellowships that provide extensive training in the pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical industry. This 2-year fellowship position is a joint effort between the Rutgers Institute for Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships and Merck & Co., Inc. Program emphasis is in Global Medical Information and Global Medical & Scientific Affairs across a range of oncology therapeutic areas. This 2-year fellowship provides a unique opportunity to respond to medical information requests from HCPs, perform medical review of promotional materials and scientific content for marketed products, assist with Compendia & Pathways submissions, and participate in product launch activities within the Fellow’s first year. In the second year, the Fellows will have an opportunity to rotate through various functional areas within Medical Affairs including, but not limited to, Global Scientific Content and Training, Global & U.S. Medical Strategy, and Health Systems Oncology. The Fellows will gain exposure to a wide range of oncology therapeutic areas and a broad understanding of Medical Affairs through immersive experiences.

University-based experiences complement the industry experiences and include a Professional Development Series; opportunities for collaborative research, publication, and teaching; and participating/leading Rutgers Fellowship committees. These Fellowships provide a broad professional development opportunity in both corporate and academic environments to promote the role of Pharm.D.’s in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry and help fuel your career as a future leader. Once all interviews have been completed, Rutgers or the company will notify interviewed candidates of their position-specific candidacy status.
