The Memorial Hospital West Pharmacy Department offers comprehensive decentralized pharmaceutical services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The pharmacy services encompass inpatient pharmaceutical care on general medical floors as well as the specialized areas of emergency medicine, internal medicine, critical care, oncology, cardiology, infectious diseases and transitions of care.

PGY2 residency or PGY1 residency/fellowship plus one (1) year of clinical experience in a specialty area or PGY1 residency/fellowship plus active board certification. Alternatively, active board certification plus three (3) years of clinical experience in a specialty area.

In 2020, it provided approximately 80,000 adult ER visits, 4,347 inpatient infectious diseases consultation referrals, and 3,142 inpatients diagnosed with COVID-19.
Our hospital hosts Moffitt Cancer Center and a dedicated inpatient department of 44 beds for the Moffitt Malignant Hematology and Cellular Therapy program. Performing 68 stem cell transplants and 388 admissions in 2020, there is an abundance of patients wit...h infectious complications of hematological malignancy.
Additionally, the Division of Infectious Disease, the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, and the Moffitt Cancer Center collaborate in a unique hospital committee on multiple protocols and antibiotic stewardship policies for the Moffitt Malignant Hematology and Cellular Therapy program.
