MD Anderson offers multidisciplinary, multimodality services providing a comprehensive approach to the management of patients with cancer. At MD Anderson you will have the opportunity to join a clinical pharmacy staff of over 120 clinical pharmacy specialists working with physicians, midlevel providers, and other healthcare practitioners to provide individualized care to both inpatient and ambulatory care patients. Through participation on multidisciplinary teams the Clinical Pharmacy Specialists collaborate with medical teams to provide comprehensive drug therapy management including drug selection, therapeutic drug monitoring, patient teaching, medication reconciliation and other aspects of medication management. Collaboration with multidisciplinary team is essential to insure continuity of care between care settings. Numerous opportunities for teaching, research, and professional development exist and are expected after establishment of patient care services.
The Supportive Care Service at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center consists of an inpatient palliative care unit, outpatient pain and palliative care clinics, and pain consult teams. The responsibilities of the clinical pharmacy specialist include patient care management of both the inpatient and outpatient populations on a rotating basis with the other palliative care clinical pharmacy specialists.

Requirements:
Pharm.D. Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
Eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
Pharmacy Practice (PGY1) Residency and Pain/Palliative Care or Oncology (PGY2) Speciality Residency (or equivalent experience)
