Job Description: This position is in one of two Central Inpatient Pharmacies at Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN. Responsibilities include medication management services in coordination with other health care professionals to deliver safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy to patients. Responsibilities include assessment of medication therapy regimens, medication therapy management, medication order verification/entry, medication distribution, documentation of medication therapy plans, and medication use education and pharmaceutical care services. Additionally, pharmacists are active members in quality improvement, research activities, and education. Some patient areas covered include OR/anesthesia, outpatient/ambulatory surgery, emergency department, outpatient dialysis, labor and delivery, and outpatient infusion therapy center.
This position rotates every other week in a 7-on/7-off (0.875 FTE) or 8-on/6-off (1.0 FTE) schedule. Shifts are 10 hours from 2:00 pm through 12:30 am, Monday through Sunday or Monday, depending on FTE choice. Salary is based on experience and training. PGY-1 residency and/or previous hospital experience preferred.

Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with equivalent experience.
