The residency program at UTMB Health graduated its first resident in 1961 and has been accredited by ASHP since 1967. The primary focus of this PGY1 program is inpatient, acute-care health services. Residents will develop and enhance clinical practice skills through required and elective rotations, ranging from internal medicine to pediatrics to ambulatory care. Residents will also become proficient in a broad range of services structured to develop their individual strengths, as well as learn and participate in new endeavors. Residents will expand teaching skills by interacting with students from multiple colleges of pharmacy.
