The Department of Clinical Sciences in the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy at High Point University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track acute care faculty position. The person in this position will be responsible for teaching PharmD students and providing service to the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy, University, and the greater High Point community. This will be advanced by clinical practice collaborations maintained by the individual. The estimated effort for this individual at program maturity (i.e., when a full faculty cohort is hired) will be 10% research, 60-70% teaching and 20-30% service. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited school is required.
Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in North Carolina is required.
Completion of a pharmacy practice (PGY1) residency or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience is required.
Candidates with PGY2 and/or fellowship training in internal medicine, pharmacotherapy, cardiology, emergency medicine, critical care or other acute care specialty is highly preferred.
Additional professional certifications (e.g., BCPS, BCGP, BCCP, BCCCP) are also highly preferred.
Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and a commitment to excellence in pharmacy education and research is preferred.
Experience working with students as a faculty mentor or preceptor is preferred.
Experience with applied skills-based education is preferred.
