Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Centers will be starting a new cellular therapy program in 2024. To support this new endeavor, the pharmacy team will be adding two clinical specialist positions dedicated to this patient population. The two pharmacists will rotate between inpatient and outpatient clinic coverage.
Beyond patient care responsibilities, early on this role will have extensive involvement in the development of the overall program infrastructure. Partnering with physician and nursing colleagues, you'll have the opportunity to shape how patients will be treated within this new program.
As part of our pharmacy team, the primary role of the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Oncology is to facilitate the delivery of safe and effective medication use in our cancer patient population via a direct patient care clinical practice. Other aspects of the position include participation in education, guideline/policy development and implementation, professional development, performance improvement initiatives and clinical research.
Please consider joining our growing team! By the end of 2024 we will be comprised of 10 oncology clinical specialists covering patient care at 6 different campuses across central Indiana.
