Our pharmacy residency in Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership with Master’s degree is a 24-month, full-time, post graduate year two (PGY1 & 2) training program. The HSPAL pharmacy residency will expose you to challenging and diverse patient populations across a variety of health-system settings.
The primary goals of the DHMC PGY1 Acute Care Pharmacy Residency Program are as follows:
· Incorporate the resident as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve care of acutely ill patients · Offer a diverse amount of experiences, allowing the resident to gain exposure in a variety of traditional and non-traditional acute care settings · Offer a flexible program, allowing the resident to explore individual interest areas · Prepare the resident for successful practice in various patient care positions, PGY2 training, and board certification
The primary goals of the PGY2 HSPAL Pharmacy Residency Program are as follows:
· Provide the resident with a solid background in the administration of pharmacy services across an integrated health system. · Develop health-system pharmacy administrators who are trained and prepared to immediately assume leadership positions as managers and assistant directors within large integrated health systems · Offer a flexible and diverse program, allowing the resident to explore individual interest areas while enhancing exposure in a variety of settings
