PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provides specialized integrated clinical pharmacy services in the clinical area of addiction medicine and substance use disorder management. Provides leadership in education and practice of evidence-based medication use and optimal patient outcomes.
Skills or Special Abilities: Must have completed a PGY2 specialty residency in psychiatry and have interest in working with substance use/abuse disorders
- Must have completed a PGY-1 residency and two years applicable experience.
- Prefer PGY-2 residency.
- May substitute additional certification and/or applicable experience in addition to or in lieu of residency.
Parkland is a Level I trauma center serving the indigent patients of Dallas County. Parkland serves as the primary teaching hospital for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. More than 60 percent of the doctors in the Dallas area have undergone formal training at Parkland.

The Parkland Pharmacy department consists of more than 500 personnel. The ambulatory services include over 150 specialty clinics, 12 community oriented primary care clinics, Jail Health and Mobile HOMES homeless outreach program.
