Clinical Pharmacy Specialists in the ambulatory setting work with a multidisciplinary team of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and affiliate staff to implement the highest quality of care for our patients and provide service for the adult ambulatory clinic and the investigational drug service.
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Infectious Disease and Antimicrobial Stewardship is responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients in all DFCI ambulatory clinical areas and will partner with the BWH Department of Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship Services to implement institutional guidelines and engage in process improvement work to promote the appropriate use of antimicrobials in the ambulatory oncology setting. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Infectious Disease and Antimicrobial Stewardship will focus on optimizing the use of antimicrobial agents in our ambulatory oncology clinics. They will be actively involved in development and implementation of guidelines, education, and evaluation of antimicrobial usage.

Minimum Education: All Pharmacists require a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
Minimum Experience: PGY2 residency in Infectious Disease (preferred) or PGY1 plus 2 years of clinical infectious disease experience or 5 years of clinical infectious disease experience required. Board Certification preferred.
License/Certification/Registration: Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Pharmacists must attain board certification in their specialty area within 18 months of employment.
