This PGY2 Internal Medicine ASHP-accredited residency is a one-year post-doctoral training program to prepare exemplary practitioners and educators for entry into academic or clinical pharmacy positions. The program's purpose is to prepare our residents to excel in providing clinical care to internal medicine patients.

establish a practice site in internal medicine
establish a teaching service for pharmacy students and residents
prepare and present didactic lectures and seminars
conduct scholarly research

This PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program is in candidate accreditation status. The purpose of the program is to develop an expert-level evidence-based knowledge base in the area of chronic disease management, implement and manage new areas of pharmacy practice in the outpatient environment, conduct research in practical areas of ambulatory care pharmacy practice, become an expert in the education of learners of pharmacy and other professions, and to become a highly skilled professional leader in the field of ambulatory care pharmacy.
Location: Texas A&M Health Family Care Clinic (Bryan, Texas)
The clinic is part of Texas A&M University’s important commitment to improving the health of the people of Brazos Valley. Of the building’s approximately 32,000 square feet, Texas A&M Health Family Care occupies about 20,500 square feet. The space is used for a comprehensive family medicine clinic and the education of family medicine residents, medical and pharmacy students, and students in other health professions. The clinic includes an in-house lab, radiology suite, endoscopy suite, classroom, administrative offices, and a dedicated resident space.
The Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy opened in 2006 to address the shortage of pharmacists in the border region of south Texas. Since then, we have established an exceptional, fully-accredited pharmacy program that prepares our diverse student body to be competent, caring, ethical Aggie pharmacists through a balanced program of education, research, and service.
