PGY-2 Critical Care Residency
The PGY2 Critical Care Residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) and Regional One Health (ROH) in Memphis, TN was started in 1987 by Drs. Rex Brown and Brad Boucher. The program has trained over 80 critical care residents, and the current RPD is Dr. Chris Wood. The core services are the trauma ICU (TICU), and the nutrition support service (NSS) that is primarily focused on care of critically ill patients. Required rotations are: 7 months divided between TICU and NSS non-consecutive), three months of electives, one month of hospital orientation/introduction to TICU/NSS (July), and one month of research/TICU/NSS cross coverage (Dec).
