Full-time (12-month appointment), non-tenure track faculty members with expertise in ambulatory care services. The faculty position will be hired at the level of assistant or associate professor within the School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice. Individuals in this position will contribute to teaching, service, and scholarship, supporting the mission and vision of the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy. Teaching responsibilities include experiential instruction at an assigned practice site, as well as didactic teaching on campus in team-taught longitudinal course series. Additional responsibilities include scholarship, academic service, professional & community service, and other duties as assigned.
Faculty members are expected to develop and/or advance ambulatory care services at one of three practice sites, all of which have long-standing relationships with the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy. In addition, each faculty member would be incorporated into the teaching and services within the physician family medicine residency training program affiliated with the respective site. The faculty member would be based remotely out of Colorado, and spend the majority of their time at their assigned practice site. The faculty member would be expected to travel to the main campus in Laramie, WY, for didactic teaching and service activities that require a physical presence on campus. Bruner Family Medicine Clinic and Saint Joseph Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program near downtown Denver, CO (2-hour drive south of Laramie, WY)
Swedish Family Medicine clinic and Swedish Medical Center Family Medicine Residency program in Englewood, CO (located 7 miles south of downtown Denver, CO)
UCHealth Family Medicine Center and Poudre Valley Hospital/Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency program in Fort Collins, CO (1-hour drive south of Laramie, WY)
Precept and teach four-week Ambulatory Care I and II Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience blocks throughout the calendar year (average is two students per rotation block for six months out of the year)
Teach in the didactic setting on campus in team-taught courses during the academic year (Therapeutics course sequence, Clinical Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacy Skills course sequence)
Advise pharmacy students
Engage in scholarly activity
Serve on school, college, university, and professional society committees
Provide drug therapy management and direct patient care services for patients at an assigned family medicine clinic/practice site
Engage in education activities for medical residents within family medicine residency programs associated with assigned practice site

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program
Completion of a pharmacy practice residency (PGY1) or equivalent experience
Ambulatory Care and/or Family Medicine clinic experience
