The Yale New Haven Hospital PGY2 in Oncology Pharmacy was established in 2008 and has been accredited since 2013. This is a full-time oncology pharmacy program intended for practitioners who wish to advance their skills in the management of oncology patients. This is accomplished through involvement in a wide variety of multidisciplinary oncology care teams. Our residency prides ourselves on providing the resident with an individualized experience focused on supporting the resident in their individual goals.
The PGY2 pharmacy residency in oncology is designed to train clinical oncology specialists. Graduates will be equipped to provide clinical pharmacy services for patients with malignancies in both the acute and ambulatory practice setting in collaboration with a diverse interdisciplinary healthcare team. The resident will gain experience through teaching, research, and the development of their own clinical practice skills throughout the year.
The PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency consists of a series of learning experiences that span a 52-week period. Specific learning experiences and goals will be accomplished in discrete blocks of time, while others will occur longitudinally throughout the duration of the residency.
Virtual Open House: We will be holding one virtual open house session in addition to attending PPS at ASHP Midyear. Virtual Open House: Wednesday, November 29th 7-8 PM EST
