Memorial Sloan Kettering is pleased to offer a 12-month post-graduate ASHP-accredited training program that provides advanced training in medication-use safety, quality assessment, and drug policy. The program offers a diverse experience designed to develop the resident’s skills in medication safety principles, leadership, process improvement, institutional policy development, planning, and research. The resident will be prepared to assume a leadership position to implement sustained medication use and quality improvement strategies in adult and pediatric patients. The resident will utilize MSK’s robust electronic reporting system to dissect actual events and trend improvement efforts that enhance the care of our patients. The resident will gain experience in implementing changes in information systems and automation technology to ensure safe and effective medication use. The resident will develop and hone communication and leadership skills by actively participating in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Pharmacy QA Committee, Pharmacy Team Analysis for Safety & Quality (TASQ) Committee, and many other medication management task forces.
