Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a
Full-Time Emergency Medicine Pharmacist
to join our Inpatient Pharmacy Team on the night shift.
We are looking for an Emergency Medicine Pharmacist with board certification, residency (PGY2 Emergency Medicine or PGY2 Critical Care), and/or equivalent years of Emergency Department/Critical Care experience!
The Emergency Medicine Pharmacist will be an integral part of the Emergency Department Multidisciplinary Team. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, flexible, and a motivated learner to work in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities will include emergency response and trauma management including, but not limited to:
- Code Blue
- Code Critical/Rapid Response
- Code STEMI
- Code CVA
- Priority Level Trauma
- Antimicrobial stewardship with antibiotic selection/initiation in the ED as well as culture review of discharged patients
- Providing drug information and assisting licensed providers to ensure optimal drug therapy for patients while immersed within the interdisciplinary team of a fast-growing Emergency Department
St. Luke's Boise Medical Center is the regional medical center and home to the state's only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency! In this position, you will be an active member of the St. Luke's interdisciplinary team of providers and nurses and provide education to patients and staff in a variety of settings in order to provide top-notch patient care. As an Emergency Medicine specialist, you will also have the opportunity to precept pharmacy learners at all levels across the system and be involved in quality improvement initiatives.
Required Criteria
- Valid Idaho Pharmacist license
Preferred/Highly Suggested Criteria
- Board Certified (BCPS or BCCCP)
- Residency Experience (PGY2 Emergency Medicine or PGY2 Critical Care) and/or equivalent Emergency Medicine/Critical Care Experience
The schedule for this position will rotate Wednesday to Wednesday every other week, working 10-hour shifts. Working hours are 9:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
