The Mount Sinai Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership PGY-2 Program prepares residents to become future leaders within integrated health systems by providing diverse experiences with preceptors who are exemplary leaders within the organization and the profession.
Areas of competence emphasized during the 12-month program include safe and effective medication-use systems, formulary management, quality assurance and improvement, management of human resources, management of financial resources, use of technology, and executive leadership. The program allows for tailored instruction for the individual resident based on interest, past experience, and future goals. This residency will prepare the resident to assume clinical and/or operational management positions in a hospital or health system.
Learning Experiences
There are 9 core rotations and up to 3 elective rotations. The duration ranges from 2 - 6 weeks.
