Our team of Clinical Oncology Pharmacists at ECU Health work with providers, fellows and APPs to give care to each patient. Pharmacist are committed to the safe and effective use of medications through maximizing drug distribution and optimizing drug therapy outcomes; educating patients, providers, students and ourselves on best practice. Pharmacist will work in both clinical and operational settings; fully integrating pharmacists into the continuum of care.
In conjunction with our clinical pharmacist opening, there is an additional need for an Oncology Informatic Pharmacist. This pharmacist will work along side of treatment providers in developing clinical treatment pathways. These pathways will be built within the EHR to guide standard treatment options for providers and nursing staff.
BS or PharmD in Pharmacy
Must be licensed in North Carolina prior to start date or within 30 days of hire
Maintains active NC Pharmacy License and provides proof licensure annually
East Carolina University Health Medical Center (formerly Vidant) is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for ECU Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Pharmacy services are provided in a variety of areas including general internal medicine, post-surgical care, five adult intensive care units, cardiology, heart failure, infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, rehabilitation, general pediatrics, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, and adult/pediatric hematology/oncology.
