Program overview:

The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP) at the University of the Sciences offers an ASHP-accredited, one-year PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency in conjunction with Cooper University Hospital. Cooper University Hospital is a 663-bed, non-profit, academic medical center in Camden, NJ. Residents also have opportunities for rotations with affiliated institutions in the Philadelphia area.

The residency program further refines skills attained during a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency, specifically in the areas of patient care, research, and academia. The goal of the residency program is to produce a practitioner with the ability to deliver pharmaceutical care to a diverse inpatient and outpatient patient population. Resident activities will include participation as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings and completion of a longitudinal research project. The resident will participate in didactic and experiential education of Doctor of Pharmacy students while completing a teaching certificate program (if not already completed during PGY1) and submit a manuscript to a peer-reviewed journal.
