The System Pharmacy - Clinical Coordinator will create a collaborative and diverse clinical environment while optimizing outcomes through the standardization and growth of clinical pharmacy practice across Novant Health UVA Health System, now part of UVA Health. Will oversee hospitals in Manassas, Haymarket, and Culpeper.
The pharmacy department provides comprehensive clinical pharmacy services, including but not limited to multidisciplinary rounding, antimicrobial stewardship, anticoagulation management, outpatient infusion, medication reconciliation, and precepting pharmacy students and residents.
Core functions of this role will include but not be limited to reviewing clinical processes, assessing growth opportunities, developing quality improvement, clinical competency programs, and outcome metrics to support best practice models.
The System Pharmacy - Clinical Coordinator will also establish and maintain rapport with medical staff, ancillary services, nursing, and pharmacy leadership while serving as a mentor to pharmacists, residents, and pharmacy students.

It is an integrated network of physician clinics, outpatient services, and medical centers in the Northern Virginia and Culpeper areas. The role serves the Northern Virginia and Culpeper footprint, which includes three medical centers: Culpeper Medical Center, Haymarket Medical Center, and Prince William Medical Center, for a total of 260 licenses beds.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: B.S. Pham/Pharm. D Required. MBA, MPH, MHA, or equivalent, Post graduate training: PGY1, PGY2 Preferred.
Experience: 3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting Required. 2 years successful pharmacy leadership experience such as Clinical Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or System Clinical Manager Required. Multi-site acute care clinical pharmacist experience strongly preferred.
Licensure: State Pharmacy Registration required annually required. Board certification in pharmacotherapy Preferred – Required within one year from date of hire Required.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Must have great interpersonal skills. Works well with others and has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
