Clinical Coordinator – Ambulatory Oncology Service

The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Clinical Coordinator for the Ambulatory Oncology Service provides patient care services and prescription dispensing coordination for our Ambulatory Oncology patient population at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Green Spring Station campuses. 

Major initiatives within the Ambulatory Oncology service line include optimization of workflow and operations to support optimal patient care, collaboration with providers and pharmacist colleagues to streamline processes, and continuous service improvement to align with the goals of the program.

This role will also:

• Maintain and development relationships with patients, other practitioners, departments, and organizations
• Manage patients and their medications
• Focus and enhance customer satisfaction and complaint resolution
• Lead communication efforts targeted at both staff and patients of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and Outpatient Pharmacies
• Assure continued performance with the supervision of staff, monitoring of patients, and efficient “workflow”
• Effectively support technicians in their assigned roles through clear concise answers, monitoring “workflow”, and mentoring
• Serve as a key connection between the clinical care teams (nurses, providers, social work, case management, etc.), Medication Access Team, and Outpatient Pharmacy to ensure positive relations and collaboration

Education: Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in PharmD degree; PGY1 ASHP-Accredited Residency training preferred
