UK HealthCare is seeking highly-motivated pharmacists to join our team within the UK HealthCare Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, KY. The Markey Cancer Center is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center providing cancer care as a regional and national referral center, and employs approximately 20 hematology/oncology clinical specialist pharmacists.
We are looking for talented clinical pharmacists to join our Hematology/Oncology Team. Our pharmacists make clinical interventions in terms of chemotherapy regimen selection and modification, oral chemotherapy management, collaborative drug therapy management (eg, nausea and vomiting, anticoagulation, pharmacokinetic monitoring, pain, and neuropathy), patient education, drug information, cost-effective care analysis, and overall clinical practice. These positions are integral to the team of attending hematologists/oncologists, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses. Our clinical specialists represent the department within several multidisciplinary committees and take an active role in educating students and residents.
In addition, a faculty appointment at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy will be considered based on credentials and experience.
