Health-System Overview
St. Elizabeth Healthcare (SEH) is a network of six hospitals currently operating throughout Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. St. Elizabeth Physicians (SEP) operates 169 specialty and primary care offices located throughout Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. Pharmacy Residents contribute to the ongoing advancement of the pharmacy enterprise at St. Elizabeth Healthcare by providing evidence-based patient care, conducting formulary stewardship, and executing research. Throughout the residency year, residents are expected to gain increasing independence and proficiency in pharmacy practice and specialized areas.
ASHP Requirements
Must be graduates or candidates for graduation of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program (or one pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
Must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be eligible for licensure in Kentucky
Active enrollment and expected completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency program or one in the ASHP accreditation process. A copy of the resident’s PGY1 residency certificate should be presented to the RPD on the first day of residency
An interview is required. In-person interviews are preferred, but in extenuating circumstances a phone, web-based interview may be considered.
The St. Elizabeth Healthcare Pharmacy Residency Programs utilize PhORCAS (Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application) for all application submissions.
