University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics (UIHC) is Iowa’s only premier, comprehensive academic medical center. Acute care clinical pharmacists at UIHC provide diverse pharmaceutical care services including drug therapy review, pharmacokinetic dosing, anticoagulant dosing, order verification, and monitoring; interdisciplinary patient care rounding; admission and discharge medication reconciliation; bedside counseling patient education as well as teaching PGY1/PGY2 pharmacy residents, medical residents, and students.
There are currently positions available in the following specialty areas:
Adult critical care and the opportunity for straight evenings, no weekends, and no holidays
Emergency medicine midnight opportunity
Pediatrics with an oncology focus
These positions will provide care for patients primarily in the inpatient setting.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Completion of an PGY1 ASHP accredited pharmacy residency or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written skills
Job related experience with and/ or commitment to service excellence
Job related experience with and/ or commitment to diversity in the work environment
Current or eligible for Iowa Pharmacist licensure
Desirable Qualifications:
Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency in applicable specialty area
Board certification in pharmacotherapy or applicable specialty area
BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification
Clinical practice experience in applicable specialty area
