Our team of Clinical Pediatric Pharmacists at ECU Health work with providers, fellows and APPs to give care to each patient. Pharmacist are committed to the safe and effective use of medications through maximizing drug distribution and optimizing drug therapy outcomes; educating patients, providers, students and ourselves on best practice. Pharmacist will work in both clinical and operational capacities; fully integrating pharmacists into the continuum of care. Pediatric pharmacists have opportunities to participate in protocol and guideline development as well as serve on multi-disciplinary committees.
BS or PharmD in Pharmacy
Pediatrics (PGY1 or PGY2) training preferred
Must be licensed in North Carolina prior to start date or within 30 days of hire
BLS Certification
Maintains active NC Pharmacy License and provides proof licensure annually
East Carolina University Health Medical Center (formerly Vidant) is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for ECU Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient services to more than 1.4 million people in 29 counties. Pharmacy services are provided in a variety of areas including general internal medicine, post-surgical care, five adult intensive care units, cardiology, heart failure, infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, rehabilitation, general pediatrics, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, and adult/pediatric hematology/oncology.
