The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania has several dynamic opportunities in both our inpatient and outpatient settings for decentralized oncology pharmacists in both our oncology infusion suite and our inpatient oncology units. In both settings, pharmacists will be responsible for monitoring and modifying drug therapy as it relates to cancer, partner with clinical specialists and the care teams , provide education to patients and families and precept students and residents. These roles allow pharmacists to practice at a high level in a challenging and rewarding specialty area. These pharmacists should be effective communicators and be able to integrate themselves within the health team and current structure of the pharmacy department. Additionally, any candidate should coordinate pharmacotherapy activities of department pharmacists and act as mentors and preceptors of the residents associated with these services. Finally, the candidate should fulfill requirements associated with hospital and department policies and procedures.
