St. Jude Pharmaceutical Services has an immediate opening for a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. An integral part of the patient care team, the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for providing many delegated clinical services, participating in multidisciplinary discussions regarding patient care, educating patients and families, collaborating with protocol development and assuring proper application and compliance with other research protocols. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is engaged in various professional education activities. These include ACPE accredited presentations, didactic and experiential training with students from multiple schools of pharmacy, clinical staff pharmacist development and mentoring, and pharmacy resident development and mentoring for the ASHP-accredited Specialty Residency in Oncology.
Requirements:
Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education accredited College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
PGY2 Specialty pharmacy residency training in Oncology or Pediatrics is required. At least 5 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience may be considered in lieu of residency training.
Licensure by the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy is required.
Certification or eligibility for certification, by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in a relevant area (e.g., Pharmacotherapy, Oncology, Nutrition Support, etc.) is required.
