Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and The University of Tennessee Health Science Center offer two positions for an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency with Pediatric Critical Care Specialty Recognition. Required rotations include pediatric, neonatal, and cardiovascular critical care, emergency medicine, parenteral nutrition, general medicine, and hematology/oncology (off-site). Elective rotations are available in antimicrobial stewardship, and most specialty areas. Residents participate in didactic, small group, and experiential education. PGY2 residents also take a leadership role by sharing responsibilities as co-Chief Residents.  Other residency requirements include PALS certification with code response, medication use evaluation, a research project with manuscript, committee activities, as well as some weekend coverage for clinical and distributive services in the critical care areas.
