The University of Tennessee Medical Center has an opening to join our pharmacy team. UT Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma and Academic Medical Center for the East Tennessee Region and beyond. Our ambulatory pharmacy team covers multiple areas including family medicine, internal medicine, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Transplant, Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonology, Transitions of Care, and Oncology. Our clinical pharmacists provide quality patient-oriented care, prospectively developing pharmaceutical plans for each patient and ensuring optimal pharmacotherapeutic outcomes. All activities are done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations with the health and welfare of the patient paramount.

It serves the entire East Tennessee region, providing all general and specialty clinical services and carries a Level I trauma center designation, supported by an aeromedical helicopter program. The medical center campus includes the UT College of Pharmacy and the Graduate School of Medicine which houses a large Family Medicine Clinic. The pharmacy staff provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week, through decentralized pharmacist teams supported by pharmacist specialists in a wide variety of clinical areas. Additionally, there are satellite pharmacies in the operating room and oncology areas. Ambulatory care is provided via specialty services to the patients in the Family Medicine Clinic, Patient-Centered Medical Home, and the Renal Transplant Clinic among others.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy, PGY2 residency training or equivalent experience, and Tennessee Pharmacy License (or eligible).
