This position will provide clinical and operational support for the ambulatory clinics in the management of Rheumatology Specialty Pharmacy service lines. Strong clinical oversight and patient education is mandatory for high functioning specialty pharmacies. Provides a high patient-touch service while obtaining affordable access to these medications, both cornerstones of a high functioning Specialty Pharmacy.
Strong clinical skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; a “team” mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position.
Work schedule primarily day shift, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with some holiday requirements. Hours and days of the week are subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department.
PharmD and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (or equivalent experience) preferred.
