For the 2025-2026 residency year, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Residency Training Program through OU Health in Oklahoma City (University of Oklahoma Medical Center, Oklahoma Children’s Hospital, Stephenson Cancer Center) seeks to fill four (4) positions in acute care PGY2 residency programs.One (1) position is available in Critical Care, one (1) position is available in Internal Medicine, one (1) position is available in Pediatrics Pharmacy Pediatric Specialty Pathway in Critical Care, and one (1) position is available in Infectious Diseases, all sponsored in affiliation with the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy and accredited through ASHP.
These PGY2 residency programs are 12-month programs providing employment and the academic rank of Clinical Instructor with the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. The residents are primarily involved in clinical practice at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center and/or OU Health Oklahoma Children’s Hospital, dependent on the position. Residents contribute to the education of pharmacy students, resident physicians, medical students, faculty physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. PGY2 residents will participate in teaching sessions, deliver formal presentations, and serve as preceptor of record for APPE students during one learning experience. PGY2 residents have the option to receive an advanced teaching and precepting skills certificate through completion of additional requirements. Residents will complete a structured research process and project. The residency programs provide opportunities to practice in interdisciplinary teams and are designed to meet the individual interests and needs of the resident.
The stipend for PGY2 residents is $49,000 for the residency year. Residents have 12 vacation days and 15 days of holiday time during the residency year as well as paid professional leave to attend at least one professional conference and up to 8 additional paid leave days for interviewing for post-residency positions. Candidates must have a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy, have completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency, be eligible for licensure in the state of Oklahoma, and demonstrate the personal and professional maturity required of the specialty pharmacy practitioner.

Applications for the 2025-2026 residency year should be submitted no later than January 2, 2025.
