The University of Iowa Health Care PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency is designed to provide concentrated training in clinical practice and administration of health-system pharmacy. The resident will obtain advanced knowledge in clinical practice and expertise in pharmacy administration, operations, personnel management, and leadership activities. The PGY1 year provides focused clinical pharmacy training in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, providing experience in all aspects of patient-centered care. The PGY2 year provides advanced training in health-system pharmacy administration, building off the clinical and leadership skills developed during the first year.
