The mission of the CoxHealth PGY2 ambulatory care program is to cultivate clinical practice skills that grow the resident into a confident and experienced clinical practitioner. The residency program provides opportunities in leadership, future clinical practice site development, and a personalized residency experience tailored to the professional goals of the resident. The resident will have longitudinal primary care exposure at various practice sites, each concentrating on distinct patient populations: family medicine, internal medicine, and the medically underserved. In addition, the resident will rotate through other specialty clinics to further reinforce complex disease state management as well as areas of clinical interest such as endocrinology, cardiology, population health, transitions of care, and academia.
