The Acute Pharmacy Services team is currently recruiting two associate directors. One of these roles will manage the Emergency Medicine, Pulmonary and Neuroscience teams with the other focused on Cardiology, Transplant and the medication history program.
This Associate Director position will work collaboratively with designated service lines (Emergency Medicine, Neuroscience and Pulmonary) and Acute Care Pharmacy Services to effectively deliver pharmaceutical care for the designated areas and throughout UK HealthCare. They will provide direct oversight to pharmacy managers and program coordinators within the group to effectively deliver patient care and plan for any growth resulting in additional services or personnel resources for all patient populations. They will also play a role in oversight and coordination of the Pharmacy Subcommittee of the Enterprise ICU Committee. This position will also play a role in oversight and coordination of pertinent service-line committees and will also play a key role in staffing models, continuing education for staff and continuous quality assurance.

This position will also play a role in oversight and coordination of pertinent service-line committees. The position will also play a key role in staffing models, continuing education for staff and continuous quality assurance.
The ideal candidates will have a PharmD with 5 years of pharmacy experience or PharmD with PGY2 in Health System Pharmacy Administration preferred. Master’s degree in business and/or healthcare administration also preferred.
Strong clinical and leadership skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in both positions.
Both positions are primarily 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
