Description:
The Pharmacy Technician prepares and distributes under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. These duties include but are not limited to: preparing non-hazardous and hazardous IV admixtures, refilling automated dispensing cabinets (ADC),filling and labeling medications, answers the telephone and routes the call as appropriate, delivers medications to patients care areas, maintains medication stock levels, maintains proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical care services, maintains general pharmacy organization and cleanliness and provides exceptional customer service. Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete the assigned task. Estimated pay range for this position is $22.20 - $28.86 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper Licenses & Certifications: Sterile Compounding Certification PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician Registered Pharmacy Technician Additional Qualifications: > 5 years technician (hospital compounding or outpatient infusion ) experience. Complex Hazardous Compounding experience required. Complex Hazardous compounding includes but not limited to: 20 hours or more per week compounding hazardous medications, compounding novel chemotherapy therapies, TPN, pump filling and programming, use of a closed-system transfer devices (CSTD). Automation Certification preferred.
