This full-time clinical pharmacy specialist position will staff within the Medicine Division and cover the general neurology or neurology-stroke academic medicine teaching service. Weekday scheduling is entirely day shift. This position works approximately every 7th weekend day shifts and comp days are provided when weekends are worked. The duties of this position include patient profile reviews, order verification, responding to drug information questions, pharmacist-managed protocols, patient counseling, admission medication reconciliation. This position is decentralized and has dedicated rounding responsibilities. In addition, non-clinical expectations will include student and resident precepting, committee involvement, and research/quality improvement project participation.
