The Clinical pharmacist provides patient-centered clinical services to the inpatient units with focus on providing specialized services to the critical care and step-down units. This position must: provide pharmaceutical care to patients to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes; promote cost-effective drug therapy; promote cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building; assist with verification and dispensing of medication orders; provide assistance in educating other health care professionals in regards to pharmacotherapy; participate in drug therapy management in emergency situations; assist in developing and implementing treatment protocols in order to improve patient care.
