We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Pharmacy team and have a variety of positions available within our operational and clinical divisions in both acute and ambulatory care. Areas welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences include acute and critical care, oncology/infusion as well as specialty pharmacy services and retail pharmacy opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Pharmacist by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required.

The UAB Department of Pharmacy provides specialized and sub-specialized care in both the acute and ambulatory care setting to serve the needs of our diverse patient populations. Our acute care practitioners are unit-based and patient-focused, practicing in a variety of subspecialties serving our 1207-bed hospital, and our ambulatory care practice is anchored by ambulatory clinics and pharmacies including infusion therapy, retail and mail order pharmacies with specialty pharmacists practicing in our clinics. Support for acute and ambulatory care is provided through our Therapeutic Policy Management, Education and Development, and Pharmacy Informatics teams. Working together to support pharmacy operations, over 500 pharmacy staff members provide high-quality patient care through teamwork and clinical expertise. With the wide variety of practice opportunities, pharmacists have many unique career options available to them at UAB.
