Established in 2002, the ASHP-accredited PGY1/PGY2 residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership builds upon Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions. It prepares residents who can assume high level managerial, supervisory, and leadership responsibilities. Areas of competence emphasized during the program include safe and effective medication-use systems, quality assurance and improvement, the management of financial resources, use of technology, and advanced leadership.
